Each Sunday we will celebrate the meaning of the Christmas Season.  Advent is a season of waiting and preparation.  It marks the beginning of a new church year.  It is a time where we look backward and forward; reflecting on Christ's birth and awaiting His promised return.  It is a four-week period where we ready our hearts through prayer and reflection.  We celebrate using the symbol of a wreath and four candles: 3 purple and one pink. During the four weeks we reflect upon: hope, peace, joy and love.  More than a countdown to Christmas it is a time of reflection and anticipation on the arrival of Jesus, God with us.
